Empty the furniture, identify detachable parts, and protect the route before the crew arrives. Dressers and wardrobes become safer to assess when drawers, shelves, mirrors, and personal items are already handled.
Inventory the pieces
List each dresser, wardrobe, cabinet, nightstand, vanity, bed component, and bench. Note solid wood, stone, glass, mirrored panels, or unusually tall pieces.
Remove contents and loose parts
Empty every drawer and shelf. Take out removable shelves and drawers only when they are designed to release safely. Pack personal items separately and keep small hardware labeled.
Check the exit
Compare furniture dimensions with doorways, hall turns, stair landings, and elevator openings. Tell the provider if a piece was assembled inside the room or if a door was removed when it arrived.
Prepare the room
Clear rugs, lamps, frames, and smaller furniture from the path. Secure pets and give the crew a clear place to work. Leave complex disassembly to people with the right tools and experience.
